CONSTRUCTION PHOTOGRAPHY

Construction photographer for construction companies, architects, engineering firms, equipment suppliers and specialist magazines. Based in Birmingham and working throughout the UK and Europe. CSCS card member. Major projects include photographing the progress of the rebuild at New Street Station in Birmingham, working with the project team for 6 years. The demolition progress at 103 Colmore, Birmingham (better known as the Nat West Tower) and the construction of Rolls Royce Aerospace’s new facility at Birmingham Business Park. Clients include: Mace, Volker Fitzpatrick, Actavo, Stannah, Bam, CBRE, Hortons, Network Rail, Berkeley Group.

Paul first started construction photography in 2005 working for a company on their projects throughout the West Midlands and Birmingham area. As his reputation for interesting and dynamic construction images grew he was invited to photograph the rebuilding of New Street Station a £750 million project spanning 5 years. Working alongside the health and safety team as well as multiple sub contractors Paul has developed a real understanding of the best and safest ways of capturing the construction sector. Since then he has been the commissioned photographer on many construction projects through to completed buildings for architects, construction companies as well as many sub contractors. Working throughout the UK he has photographed projects such as hospitals, prisons, commercial property, residential developments as well as schools and universities. Based in Birmingham and with easy access to the transport network, construction photographer Paul Painter works throughout the UK but primarily in the Midlands, London and South East.
